Cote D’Azur

The stunning coastline of the Cote d’Azur between Menton and St. Tropez is also known as the “French Riviera”.

The fashionable resorts of St. Tropez, Ste. Maxime, Frejus, Cannes, Antibes and Nice conjure up wonderful images of luxury yachts on clear blue waters, white sands and palm trees. Chic boutiques, street side cafes and superb restaurants add to the glamour of the region.

The Cote d’Azur comes alive during the summer months with entertainment which includes jazz festivals, bull fights, formula 1 racing, casinos and boule tournaments.

Places to visit in the Cote d’Azur

This city is the capital of Monaco and is famous for its Royal Family, Grimaldi Palace, beautiful botanical gardens and casinos. Boullabaisse is the luscious traditional dish – picture your plate piled high with a selection of fresh seafood flavoured strongly with peppers, garlic and olives.

Brigitte Bardot and Sasha Distel are among the many rich and famous celebrities who have added to the fame of St. Tropez. From its beginnings as a small fishing port it now has been transformed into a large glamorous resort. Today St. Tropez is renowned for its luxury yachts, pavement cafes and beautiful beaches including Pampelonne.

Built in 1966 this elegant resort is best explored by water taxi on its many canals. Known as “Little Venice” or “Venice on the Riviera” this bright lively town is a maze of canals and narrow streets with streetside cafes and wonderful restaurants.

This ancient Roman town with impressive historic sights including its amphitheatre is today a popular resort sporting a lively promenade, sandy beaches, busy bars and fine restaurants.
