The resort of Estartit has 3km of broad pale sandy beach safe for children to play and paddle in. An abundance of water sports from jet skiing & water-skiing to paragliding and scuba diving can also be found. English speaking instructors are on hand to assist.
Estartit centres around an old traditional fishing port, but these days the harbour is mainly occupied by yachts and leisure craft. The pretty harbour has many port side restaurants and cafe bars where you can watch the world go by.
You can find a good selection of shops in the old cobbled streets and a lively market selling local goods and produce. In the evenings in the newer part of town you can find bars and discos, which stay open until the early hours.
Camping in Estartit at Castell Montgri is a great location for families and couples of all ages. The beach is safe for children and gently slopes into the Mediterranean.
